FAQ

  • Where is the cool design? Your page is too simple!
  • I actually prefer a minimalist approach when it comes to maintaining my web site. I have found that it is easier to generate content, evolve it, and performs well on all platforms!
  • Okay, maybe it isn't so bad. I kind of like it now. How did you make it?
  • The website is generated off a script I wrote that takes in a bunch of markdown files and transforms to HTML using pandoc. Then, everything is glued together with HTML templates and some CSS. The approach to the design of the site is to make it compatible enough for older browsers to be able to view it.
  • Are you looking for any work? If so, are you willing to relocate?
  • I'm not looking for any work at the moment. I am happily employed, and relocation is something that is only considered if the opportunity is the right one for not only me, but my family. :)
  • Why a blog?
  • Why not a blog?!
  • What computer do you use?
  • My Workstation:
    • AMD Ryzen 3900XT (12c/24t) (3.8 GHz base)
    • 64 GB DDR4 RAM
    • 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVME SSD
    • GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card
    • Dell Ultrasharp 32" 4K monitor
    • Dell Ultrasharp 25" 2K monitor (portrait orientation)
    • Windows 11 Pro

I have many other desktops and laptops around, but my Ryzen workstation is definitely my main PC. It can do almost everything I need it to do in current 2022. It's fast enough for all my development needs, and also for hobby projects such as photo and video editing and some modern gaming. 😊

If I am not near my desk, I usually use a Lenovo Thinkpad T14s laptop to establish a remote connection into the desktop over a Wifi 6 connection. Basically, the ThinkPad is just a terminal for my desktop... haha.

  • What type of video games do you play?
  • I'm really into older video games. Especially 16-bit platformers and JRPGs on the Super Nintendo. Most of the 8-bit NES stuff is good too, and JRPGs on the PlayStation are entertaining for me as well. OH! And old PC games!
  • Can you help me solve a whiteboard programming problem?
  • Sure, just drop me a tweet on Twitter, and we can work it out together. :)
  • Anything interesting?
  • Lots. What do you want to know?
  • Reserved for a future question.
  • An answer for that question.
